Electronic scales and digital calipers are nice as a second check, but I feel a lot more at ease using the manual ones... MHO

Re: Issue Sighting in .204

Sounds to me like a scope problem... Also remember your scope adjustment at 50 yds is 1/8" per click and 1/4" at 100 yds... "a couple of clicks" will move it very little..

Re: Need some suggestions please

oldfox: All decent advice above, but as to the 'why not carry reloads for the street' question, here is an answer you may want to consider. I've got a background in LE, and have seen what can happen in a court of law in regard to a self-defense shooting in that the prosecutor, if known that you're ...

May I ask why you would not carry reloads? I have never had a misfire after 1000's of rounds. To me factory ammo, being mass produced, would have more of a chance to fail then carefully reloaded ammo. MHO..

That brings back a lot of fond memories of duck hunting on Merrymeeting Bay up here in Maine in the early 1960's. We had some good times and back then some great hunting! Nice job skipper!

Re: Bullet seating consistency

When you measure case overall length (COAL) do you measure from base to tip or do you use a comparator that measures closer from the base to the ogive? Your seating die operates by pushing on the ogive so there may be some variance. That variance will show up if you measure from base to tip. Get a ...

Bullet seating consistency
