Re: Summer of 2021 Challenge Winners Circle

Shooting alone sure hasn't hurt your groups none Bill!!
For these competitions, I always have a range officer sign the back of the target as witness.

Re: Summer of 2021 Challenge Winners Circle

I shoot a Remington XR100, pillar and glass bedded with a Mueller Eraticator 8.5-25X50 scope. Ammunition was 39 grain Sierra Blitz Kings over Rel. 15 in Remington brass. Label on the box said I had hand loaded them in October of 2010. The barrel is a bit shot out due to me thinking I had to hit 4000...

Great contest Skipper! Happy as heck to come in 3rd! Congrats to BillK and JW, you guys rock! Maybe if I hadn't had that 2nd cup of coffee I could've done better.
Looking forward to next years challenge!

Re: The Challenge Begins!

I feel your pain Wes! Luckily I got to the range to shoot my target before catching covid. Long recovery time for that bug!

Re: The Challenge Begins!

I never could get 32gr bullets to print better than 3/4" on my Rem XR100 or my Savage model 12FV. Best results with 39gr Sierra BKs over Benchmark or REL10X. I still had about 400 rounds left over from 2010 loaded with REL10X that seemed plenty accurate when I do my part. I use Redding dies for...

Re: The Challenge Begins!

What about the "first shot Terror"! First shot all by itself with the next four in one hole.
Went to Rio Salado shooting range here in Mesa Arizona after work on a rare mid 90s day. Took a while to get the feel of my XR100, but I think that I didn't embarrass myself.

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

I'm happy with 4th place! 1st, 2nd and 3rd should be in the .2 inch range for this cartridge :-)

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

Thanks Skipper, It was fun to drag my old rifle out of its cage. About 4 years since I've shot it and the ammo was 25.8 gr of benchmark in Norma cases under 39gr Sierra BKs, that I loaded in 2013.
Stay high and dry!
