Re: A simple question for lurkers and active members-

Sixty/60 on the slope to 61. FYI no adult supervision either, which tends to get me in trouble at times  Started off with a 204R, then I ordered a 20BR. I waited a while…….., then ordered a 20VT. The VT arrived way early…..32-34 grain is it. If I go heavier I want to go faster without worry...

Re: Happy new year- 2024

Made a small bit of progress on the 20BR.
I would post a pic of my Christmas present I bought for my self. Don’t know what to do to get the pic up.
Another rabbit hole probably. FX Impact .25. Figure I can get trigger time in the basement pretty easy.

Re: 20 BR anyone

There is some reference to both on accurate shooter. I felt the 22-250 case was a bit much. After I played with the 22BR and found it so wonderful to work with, I went to the BR case for the 20. May still be a bit much, but I can down load rather than pressure it up. The PPC case may be the ticket, ...

20 BR anyone

Have probably visited/corresponded with most anyone that has fooled with one.
Running Berger 55’s. It may see some 40-45’s but few.
Need to skim turn necks just to knock off the high spots.

Re: About those .45 ACP carry guns...

I picked up a commander a while back. It was a bargain and has responded well for me. I quit wearing a belt but may have to rethink that. I picked up a SIG P238 a few years back. I run Buffalo Bore ammo, spoke to a gent there, his comment a .380 trumps a .45 at home in the safe. I never really notic...

Re: Favorite 20 Caliber cartridge??

As long as the wind does t blow, 20VT. All I run is 32-34’s in it. This is a 26” full bull, Choate stock has #9 shot in every available space, weighs about 27+ pounds. By spring that may change as I am trying to get moving on my 20BR project. I have been running everything suppressed. Works as good ...

Re: What is a Small Caliber

I had tossed this around and forgotten about it. I know those that run these sites are way over worked and under paid. But it seems there needs to be some kind of “click bait” to get folks to come, and then keep coming back. As to “small caliber”. I get the angle of 20 and under. But, as mentioned t...

Re: HEY LURKERS!!! GET TO POSTING-

I suspect I am some where around the same area, Leavenworth, Atchison and Jefferson counties is where I ran around a lot. Urban sprawl started about 1988, coon hunting and end up in some ones back yard. Coyote hunting with dogs dropped off some time before that. Still got a few guys running greyhoun...

Re: .224 Harvey Kaychuck pistol

I would be interested in which if any state has such, against a multi caliber firearm? There are numerous platforms than can be switched from a huge assortment of cartridges, rim fire and center fire. A hybrid of originally a center fire to rim fire or visaversa, has been done for years by many cust...

Re: 2023, 204's and RATS!

He had just built the 20 Practical that is on the bench. He was going to swap to 223 and didn’t want the chore of sorting the two later. The pic made think of the other thing from that week. He had got a new big wide brim straw hat, it had a pattern of ventilation holes on the side. Both of us shave...

7.62x39 reduced load data

Picked up a Howa mini 7.62x39. I have looked around for reduced load data with poor results. Yeah I know all about trail boss, it’s as easy to find as H4198. I have a bunch of SR4759. I may do some extrapolation and work up a cast bullet load. Wish I had all of the 303 British pull down bullets from...

EP5 5-25. A bit better glass if your a glass snob. I have 2 now. Another gent and I have exchanged messages, he sold his Leupold and Burris and replaced with the Arken. Opinions are like elbows, everyone has a couple. I am of the belief every ones eyes are different. What one thinks is a great piece...
