Re: Load development-CZ 527 American
Anyone have a link? Tried all kinds of searches for CRT with no luck.

Re: Load development-CZ 527 American
I have seen reference to the “CRT” bullets, but find no info on them. Are they still available?

Re: Suppressors
I was wondering what folks were using. Even open to what to stay away from. It’s a fair chunk of money to throw at something that has little if anything to do with accuracy. I ended up going with a Griffin Paladin 300. Rated for 22RF through 300WM. After using a 5.56 and a 30 suppressor on the same ...

Re: Ackley Improved
The AI shoulder to limit case growth is the main point. Case capacity gains are pretty moot point, unless a real radical change is made. I have tossed around the idea of a “different” 20. Use 223 Lapua brass, push the shoulder back to lengthen the neck a bit, then what ever sharp shoulder degree you...

Re: Nosler 40 gr Ballistic tips
I was using CFE223, then I tried some 10X. Good accuracy and speed from both, the 10X edged out the CFE223 though. This was with Vmax bullets. I happened into some Nosler 40’s, honestly I just don’t get the accuracy out of them I like.

Re: New stock
I am a Choate fan for prairie dog work. You didn’t mention what your use would be. There are several differ t designs and styles for the savage. I have three different ones. The two I prefer both have a full stock rather than a skeleton. I fill the butt and the grip with #9 shot. I added lead up fro...

Re: Anyone shooting only (mostly) heavy bullets in a 204?
I shot 40’s from the time I first played with a 204 because that is where everyone pointed me. A couple of years ago I ran across a deal on loaded ammo, 32 and 34 grain. Just to cheap to pass up. Out to close to 300 they out perform the 40’s, at least in my two rifles. I had looked around at heavies...

Re: Critical life decision, need advice :)
That’s a fair chunk of change. I don’t think I have that in a rebarreled bolt gun.

Re: Critical life decision, need advice :)
Bill, I got a three groove 1-8” twist for the 22Nosler. It is shooting as good as a CBI barrel in 6BR. Cleans up easily too. This was for the Howa Mini, so I got their nut, it is a cleaner look than some others I have seen. Buddy bought one in 22BR Norma. It cleans easy too. It is shooting as good a...

Re: Critical life decision, need advice :)
I have three minis. One in an Oryx chassis, one in a Boyd’s pro varmint with magazine bottom metal and one in a B&C stock with flush bottom metal. I like them all with the provarmint 222 being a favorite. The B&C rig is a 6.5 Grendel and is a lite, short handy rig. The Oryx chassis, this too...

Re: 221 Fireball Build
I thought the Valkyrie case was larger than the 223 family? I would push you towards a 222 if you don’t have one in your stable. I picked up one on a Howa mini last year. I had to see what all the “magic” was about. Out of the factory stock and into a chassis. Well it is easy to work with a shoots b...
