Re: Finally got my Baer

So did they tell you how to "purge" the gas tube? I bought some Cr-10 to deal with the copper but I do like the foaming cleaners because the Barnes doesnt come out blue. I never really know when ALL the copper is gone. I suppose if you only need be concerned with having fluid in the gas tu...

Re: HDR reloading dies

I use plain old RCBS FL and FL size every round with no problems. I have alot of brass though and haven't gotten to more than 4 times on any one round, so I don't yet know how long the cases will last.

Re: HSM ammo?

I can't add much here except that I agree with all that has been said. I didn't get great groups with them, 1"-2" but for the price and for coyotes they would be fine out to any reasonable range. Also if you were to search 40 Berger with coyotes you will find lots of posts of people that h...

Re: Finally got my Baer

First let me say, Waldo You can probably keep my Pdog targets!!! If Hawkeye, of all people, has a Les Baer then I don't have a chance!!! I'm just jealous. I really, really wanted the Baer but just couldn't swallow that price tag. and Super91 is getting one too?!?!?!? Hawkeye, as far as the gas tube ...

Re: Greetings from Iraq

Yes it does answer my Qs and very well at that. At the risk of sounding like a Big Lib, I wish we weren't over there or most anywhere for that matter. Mainly because of what we hear over here. Things like the gov't taking the entire month of August off when there is obviously so much yet to be done ...

Re: Need a little help picking a caliber

I'm just sticking my nose in here because I dont know how they are on barrel life but, IMO, .30-378 Weatherby and 7mmSTW have way lotta cool factor for me. I saw a friend shoot a deer under 100yrd with the STW and it was WAAAAY too much gun at that range. I've been seriously contemplating a .270STW....

Re: Greetings from Iraq

THANK YOU BOTH from me and my family! I appreciate what you are doing more than I can express with words. Questions: I understand you are not Gen. Patreas (sp?), but at your current rate of success how long do you think we will need to be there? Or will we always need to be there in some capacity? W...

Re: New DPMS .204 Upper

http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q180/rugerdogdog/1210060951a.jpg I used a very cheap mount and ring setup with a 50mm objective scope and have had no problems. As you can see, my scope is very high. The issue with having a tall mount has more to do with cheek weld and shootability than pure accu...

14 as in inches!?!? Is that legal? I bet it is LOUD.

Edited to add: I'm awake now. This is a Contender, no? That makes sense and I'll go back to sleep.

DPMS LR-204 costs $1000 already built. Will shoot under an inch with reloads.
