Re: My First Handloads
32 grain varmagedons are defiantly on the list to try. I have both tipped and hollow point to try sometime. way more hollow points than tipped as that was all I could find and on sale to boot but looking forward to trying both. The reason I bought the Speers was cost, not bad trying to find a projec...

I also realized this could probably have been in the Reloading the 204 section but if any mods would like it moved by all means please do.

Re: My First Handloads
Thanks Bill. I can't wait for May/June. Hopefully be another great year for dogs, we only really had 2-3 weeks of super cold this year in Feb. Mild as far as North Dakota winters go. i would like to load another 10 or so of that same charge weight and just see if I can replicate or come close to tha...

My First Handloads
Well it looks like my savage vlp likes .39 grain sierra blitzking's. Not really a shock from what I've read online for awhile now. I've been buying up reloading supplies and equipment for the last few years and this last year was the time to get serious if I wanted to shoot my 204 again at prairie d...

Re: Sako 85 Varmint
Well congratulations on buying one of my dream rifles. 🥳You just had to give RIO another chance to post up the beauty. Whats her name again Rick?
Your apparently not the only one excited for that rifle. Would also be interested in how you like the SIII after a few dogs blow up in the sight picture.

Re: Sausage Making 2021
Its that time of year again. Time to break out the grinders/stuffers and vacuum sealers. Fire up the propane burner and let the smoke roll. Every year around the beginning of Feb we get together with family and make deer sausage. This year was a bit different as I didn't even make any just stuck to ...

Re: Anyone shooting only (mostly) heavy bullets in a 204?
Looks like Grafs has special run of Berger 55 grainers. Not really sure how many. https://www.grafs.com/catalog/product/productId/797 Pricey, but if your looking for some benchrest style accuracy. Might be worth trying. I seem to remember they shot very well back when they were first introduced. Cou...

Re: Coyotes
Local trapper back home by the farm (deer hunting ground) has me out of business as for as calling goes. I'm acctually glad he's running that line, I'd rather have him taking care of them in his own way so he can dispatch them how it benefits him as far as pelts go. Kinda fun to get up that close my...

Got a late one in
First day of deer gun season for North Dakota and I instead chose to head west for prairie dogs (lottery wasnt in my favor this year). Father-in-law has a doe tag this year and since he uses a rifle of mine we decided to hold off on opening afternoon because of the predicted 70 degree high and hit o...
