Re: Fat summer coyote taken.

You're right the 32 and 26 grain usually stay inside wrecking havoc, but on many neck shots unless you hit the vertebrae it cleans house and goes through. Reason he made it 50 feet didn't know he was running expired.

Fat summer coyote taken.

Saw him in a field where i was set up ,fresh cut round hay bales, farmer says he sees coyotes randomly. This fat male was strolling along the edge near coverr and unaware of me about 200 yards away. I had the 204 resting over a round bale and could see the coyote plain as day through the 20 power Wea...

Re: groups at 100 yds

The 39 grain Blitz king is very accurate in my Thompson Venture 1/10 twist rate, this in a six shot group, the flyer i expected because i often change bullet weights just for fun. This is a factory HSM round ,under ideal benched down conditions.

Re: Downsides to the 204 for coyotes

I'm not seeing any downside at in in a little over a year shooting coyotes,i keep hearing bullet splash and this and that ,too me a load of tripe. I've yet had anything splash or run off. Don't shoot at shoulder bone when using a light grained fast round the bullet will penetrate ribs and do its job...

Re: Opinion Wolf or large dog ?

Sir,if i had to make an educated guess,i'd say coyote too small for a grown wolf.Track in line like coyotes walk, too pointy for dog.
