Re: Fell victim again

Got a M50 long range stock from Stocky Stocks and I'm very pleased with the quality of it. It already has an aluminum bedding block in it. I installed the new stock and went out to the range today to give it a try. Much more stable and sturdy and the factory original SPS. Shot the following group fr...

Fell victim again

While waiting on my Cooper to be built an opportunity presented itself to purchase a Remington model 700 SPS at a smoking deal. Not being able to pass up the opportunity and knowing I have several more months of waiting, I went ahead and picked it up and mounted a spare Sightron SIII on it. Hopefull...

Re: Who Said the .22 Hornet Wasn't Accurate?

Definitely agree with you. Shot this group this morning out of my Winchester model 70 made back in 1940. Used Seirra 45 gr. with H110 behide it. The lower hole is my cold shot.

Which Die set to get?

The Ruger 204 will be my first bottleneck cartridge reloading venture. In the past I have done either straight wall or tappered cases. Trying to choose which die set I will need for extremely good accuracy. I have read in the form of that Redding Dies are recommended and I see there are two types I ...

Re: Need help on picking out a Ruger 204 rifle

After doing some searching for a used Cooper MTV and not being able to come up with anything, I went to my local dealer and placed the order for a new one. Now the hardest part, the wait!

Re: Need help on picking out a Ruger 204 rifle

Thanks again for the free advise... really do appreciate it. The reason I was asking about the extra 2" was for maybe that little extra in accuracy. But that may not be the case.

Re: Need help on picking out a Ruger 204 rifle

Thank you both for the very helpful advise… after looking at my options I think I will hold out and go with the Cooper. I've always loved the look of the Montana Varminter and I know it will shoot. I will see if I can try to find a used one on some of the selling sites if not guess I will place my o...

Re: Tell us about yourself...

Hello all.... I'm an avid shooter/reloader and have been in the firearms business for the past 25+ years. Started off with 22 hornet and now working my way to my first 204 Ruger. More of a target shooter than hunter. To quote Townsend Whelen " Only accurate rifles are interesting"
