First Rock Chucks

I had a great day out with a new friend from this forum. Bill K and I met up early one day last week after I had told him I'd never been able to spot rock chucks out by our cabin. We headed out to some country I hadn't been to before and we proceeded to stop and glass different rock croppings lookin...

Re: Steel Shot Reloading

Great story of your venture into steel shot reloading. I use to do a lot of lead shot reloading while being in a trap shooting league many years ago. Really liked it but a move put me in an area without much in the way of trap or skeet shooting. I have a Mec9000G progressive loader in the attic alon...

Re: Steel Shot Reloading

I watched an episode of Meat Eater yesterday where they were hunting cranes exclusively. They called them 'rib eye in the sky' for the flavor of the meat.
Wish we could hunt them here in Norcal as there a bunch when they harvest the rice. R!

Re: Chargemaster Question

I usually have a little bit stuck to the sides but not what's shown in your photo. I just use the little paint brush that came with the unit to sweep it all into the hopper. That's when I realize that I forgot to close the drain port. I should just turn the unit upside down and get it all over my ta...

Re: Red mist

Thanks for getting this done for me. I've posted photos before but for some reason the planets wouldn't align for me.
Please see the details for the photo on my original post. Randy.

Re: Red mist

Sorry Skipper-you're talking with a retired AF Jet Engine mech and recently retired cabinet shop owner (with all 10 fingers!) so don't know what you mean. How bout I PM the photo to you and please let me know what the problem is? I've posted photos here before without any problems so I'm lost. Randy.

Re: RCBS Chargemaster

It's a good idea to mount the charger on a separate bench or table as they're pretty sensitive to movement. The tech that worked on my unit said that having a cell phone nearby will also disrupt it as will static, overhead fans and open windows. I set mine up on an anti-static rubber pad but still h...

Red mist

I saw the spray thru the scope when I shot this squirrel from about 100 yards. It was great to get out finally and convert gunpowder to noise now that the rains have subsided and the fields have dried out some. The bad thing is the alfalfa is already over 6" high. I know how everyone likes phot...

Re: Lee Classic Turret and RCBS Rotary Case Cleaner

It's only money! Of course that's what others tell you when you've spent a bunch. I had to try to stop asking questions when I was at RCBS last week because they kept dragging out new stuff to show me. Luckily, I escaped with wallet intact. Randy.
