Gun still at Cooper and latest communication tells me the wait time for them will be 16 weeks to get the barrel then shop time to chamber and fit.
I am getting VERY unhappy............................................

Small Base Body Die
I bought a Cooper in 204 Ruger that had a oversize chamber. I fired a number of rounds through it before I finally had enough and sent it back to Cooper for a re-barrel. Now I have a number of cases that are too large to fit the chamber in my new custom Remington 204 (an most likely the rebarrelled ...

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber
Not yet, but I will get an answer especially if they want money to replace the barrel. I suspect the wandering reamer is the answer. Now having problems with the brass I fired in the gun fitting the chamber of a custom build 204 Ruger even after FL sizing the brass. Looks like I need a small base si...

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber
Gun went back to Cooper who found barrel to need replacing. As they had no 204 Ruger barrels in stock, I was told 8-12 weeks, It's been gone about 5 weeks now. Time goes so slow when waiting and so fast when your not...............

Need a 204 Small Base die
I have a Cooper with a enlarged chamber that is now back at Cooper for a re-barrel. The cases have been sized in a Redding body die, but are still too large in the pressure ring area. I need to run them through a small base die. I intend to hone the neck size area out to have it as Small base body d...

Re: Wilson barrel quality?
Not disputing your results with Wilson barrels - after all you own and shoot them. I also own two Coopers in 17 HMR and am very happy with how the guns shoot. Actually my hope is that Cooper will decide the chamber was a factory error and they will replace the barrel for free or at a greatly reduced...

Wilson barrel quality?
It appears that my CF Cooper (204 Ruger) will be needing a new barrel. What are your thoughts on the quality/accuracy of Wilson barrels? The company has initially quoted me a difference of almost $300 between re barreling with a Wilson barrel and a Krieger barrel. That makes me think the price of Wi...

Re: Cooper Model 21 chamber
I have a M21 Varmint Cooper in 204 Ruger. The fired cases, both factory and reloads show a pronounced bulge at the "pressure ring" of .005" more than my friend's Remington 204 Varmint. The pressure ring expands from a FL resized diameter of .370" to a fired diameter of .380"...

Cooper Model 21 chamber
I have what I believe to be a early Model 21 (SN is two letters followed by 2 numbers) chambered in 204 Ruger. The fired cases, both factory and reloaded, show a pronounced expansion (.005" greater than a case fired by a Remington 700 in same caliber with ammo from the same box of ammo) at the ...

Arkansas Varmint hunting
Anyone on the Forum hunt varmints in Arkansas?
Please contact me as I am interested but the game we can shoot seems very limited.

Re: Winchester brass
A friend and I bought 1000 Win new 204 Ruger cases. I weight sorted them and did a quick quality inspection. 20 of the cases are defective. I have emailed Winchester with no reply as of yet.
I am a very persistent guy and WILL be following up.

Re: Larger than expected ES's
The large ES's were with the same load, cases, and primers. I haven't tried 27.5 of 8208 so I might give that a try. I'm looking at using the 204 for prairie dog hunting so the ES's should cause vertical dispersion at distance - at least that is my experience with shooting other guns in NRA mid and ...
