Re: Your Best/Favorite Deer Hunting Rifles?
I believe they can use center fire Rifles in Illinios to Predator Hunt.....makes a lot of sense to not be able to use a center fire during Deer Season using only shotgun/muzzle loader because of too long a range if they use a center fire Rifle yet some of the new muzzle loaders can reach out several...

Re: Your Best/Favorite Deer Hunting Rifles?
Valar....the .243 would be a good choice for Deer since it would have less recoil, just think the .308 would be better for those Big 200lb + Illinois Deer!
Since You have to use Shotguns or Muzzle Loaders are You allowed to use the Center Fire Rifles for Predators/Coyotes then?

Re: 20 VarTarg Questions?
Oh man....thats one sweet Rifle You got there Rick.  You don't see many Rifles like that here in Missouri, just not that many Bench or Long Range Shooters to be had around here and most of the local Pawn Shops or even Gun Shows want as much for a nice Used Gun as a brand new one so I'm...

Mike I have a Browning A-Bolt Hunter in the .243,it's shooting 100 grain Hornady Custom bullets and used mainly as a Deer Rifle until I got the CZ .204 which works fine it's just that I got a Money Gift Certificate for a decent amount so I'm going to add a few dollars and get me a new Toy/Rifle! M1 ...

Re: 20 VarTarg Questions?
Thanks Rick......what ever I decide on its going to be more than likely a light carry Rifle and for some type of Coyote,Bobcat,Fox Hunting situation. We don't have enough long range fields for me to worry about 300-400-500 yard shots any ways with our Rolling Hills,Hollers and Woods and a simple 3X9X...

Re: release date on savage17 hornet
I stopped in at my local Dealer and He said they (Savage .17 Hornets) were all on back order, asked about the CZ 527 .17 Hornets and He couldn't get one from them....I talked with a Friend of mine and He had a CZ .17 Hornet on order from his Dealer? So I'm not sure what's up with that...might just ski...
