I load RL-10x now, and was thinking about trying H4895 or 8208 XBR

Finally Found A Load

Went to the range tonight to test my three loads. I settled on 25.1 RL10x. I was trying three different OAL's It's out of my Cooper M21 Varmint I don't have a chrono yet, so I'm not sure on the velocity http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w175/m60g/P1010493.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w175...

Indian Reservations

Anyone ever hunt on a reservation? Where? and how was it?

I was looking at going to Ft Belknap around Zortmen, MT, or maybe Rosebud in SD, or the Cheyenne River in SD

Re: Cleaning my .204, a laundry list

I use Shooters Choice and Butch's for powder fouling, and I started using KG-12 Copper Remover. Sinclair Bore Guide, and Pro Shot Brass Brushes and Nylon Brushes

I use a Dewey Rod and Pro shot jags with 1 1/4 Round patches from Brownell

Someone please help

 I'm using RL 10x and 39 SBK's I'm confused as to where I should begin my reloads with regards to COAL. If I try to load factory COAL of 2.250, I will be .180 off the lands  , That seems a bit excessive to me :duh: My measurement to the lands is 1.955 OGIVE Would 1.865 OGIVE be a good plac...

My OAL to the lands by the OGIVE is 1.955 with my comparator

Cleaning between Loads

When working up a load, do you guys clean in between each load, or after so many rounds?

And do you just patch out the bore, or do you also scrub it for copper?

Re: What COAL measurements are you using?

If the OGIVE measurement is getting close to Factory Spec COAL, you have to use Sinclair's Hex style Comparator. I ran into the same problem.
