Re: Where do I get a Lee Factory Crimp Die
The only time I was ever advised to consider crimping was if I was having problems with the bullet getting pushed back during the cycling in my ARs (.204 & .223). So far it hasn't been a problem and I don't crimp. Your military .223s are usually crimped and the bullet has a canelure for that pur...

Re: Ramshot powders
I tried some Ramshot X-Terminator with some 39gr Sierra BKs with good results and also in my .223 using 40gr V-Max... The performance is really close to the Winchester 748, which is my standard load powder. Ramshot is a few cents cheaper per pound locally. Both are ball powders and meter exceptional...

Re: Forster Co-Ax press
Failure to change the jaws on the lower end with the .204 & .223 can cause them to strip off the case base rim, resulting in a 'stuck' case and then the headaches start if you are using Forster dies... I had a couple when I first got my press and had to order a stuck case remover from Forster......

Re: First Timer questions....
IMHO, There is nothing wrong with the .38/357 revolver if you are going to limit yourself to just one. It is less prone to malfunction, requires less time to achieve a reasonable degree of proficiency, and should you be depending on your spouse to use it, all they have to do is keep pulling the trig...

Re: Favorite Loads
In reviewing the previous spread sheet on loads, I see very few that load with Winchester 748 for the .204. As this is the primary powder I use for my .223s, it seems more natural to adopt it to the .204 as well. Does anyone have any good info on loads for the 45gr Hornady with W-748? http://i82.pho...

Re: New to site
Providing that your rifle is tight in all other ways (barrel, bedding, etc) your trigger and optic will be a couple of the most critical factors in making those long range shots. My .204 AR has a custom upper with a Sightron 4-16x Mil-Dot and a trigger that breaks clean at 1.5 pounds. I keep it sigh...

Re: Newb needs to know where to start with How-to, equip, etc.
As far as books for a beginner, look at the Lee 2nd Edition.. Aside from the promotional comments about their products, it gives a lot of insight about the whys of reloading procedures as well as the 'how'. The second would be the Sierra manual. For a starting reloading set up, look into the Lee or ...

Newbie
Hello everyone. After a few posts, a thought came to me that an introduction is needed. My name it Bill Tinsley, age 64 for a couple of more months. I live in Boonville, MO (little river town) where I grew up. Married to a great, very understanding lady and between us, we have 4 children and 9 grand...
