Re: Small Caliber Posted Results Shoot 2024

Just go with your gut and don't look back. Go have some fun with whatever you decide.

If it were me and the range being the predominate use, I would choose the Savage 12 LRPV. Right bolt, left port, adjustable AccuTrigger, HS fiberglass bedded stock. But then I have always leaned towards that type of rifle.

Re: Small Caliber Posted Results Shoot 2024
It's not my shoot, it's your (members) shoot. You (members) decide. If you want 224 - 17 caliber, so be it. I'm just the one ramrodding this effort. This competition has never been about me. I don't really care one way or the other.

Re: Small Caliber Posted Results Shoot 2024
I don't think we ever definitively decided what a Small Caliber was. There were some suggestions but no ultimate decision. Here's what Wikipedia says: Small-bore refers to calibers with a diameter of .32 inches or smaller.[1] It may also refer to small-bore rifle competition. The medium-bore refers ...

Re: Small Caliber Posted Results Shoot 2024
My vision is that anyone who wants to compete can do so by simply printing out a target, shooting 5 shots on it and posting that group in the Competition Forum. That takes the time, expense and frustration out of utilizing the postal service. Scoring will require all participants, as well as our non...

Re: Small Caliber Posted Results Shoot 2024
I fully intend to hold a competition this year. I already said I would and my word is what defines who I am, mostly to myself. That said, participation is what is going to determine the future of these competitions. That's not meant as a personal dig, just practicable.

You need to look into a Farley Coaxil rest with a joy stick. They're expensive, but they're worth every penny. Getting back on target is soooo easy with the joy stick. Check them out.

Re: Small Caliber Posted Results Shoot 2024
Peace brethren. I intend to offer at least two classes of rifles. I always listen to your opinions and they are welcome. I'm not sure about offering classes custom tailored to suit each individual's needs though. Perhaps we could offer a handicap for various known disadvantages. I said this before a...

Re: Small Caliber Posted Results Shoot 2024
"Last time" I knocked myself out for a competition that was not very well received. Let's just say the participation level was paltry at best. I'm not willing to continue going down a dead end road. You don't need this forum to go shoot groups or rats. You can do that on your own. I come h...
