Re: Competition Load Development Info
Forgot to say that I shoot free recoil. It will probably take me 30 minutes to get my bench set up but then it's all about the trigger squeeze. The Jewell trigger just has to be tickled to torch the round off. Please, remember, you invited me to compete. JK

Re: Competition Load Development Info
This weekend it's time to pull out the custom 204 Ruger. 26.1 of Benchmark and my pet cases have been launching 35 gr. Bergers into some really small groups. First I have to make sure there is no hard carbon ring in the throat of my Lilja barrel. I'll soak a patch with my secret formula bore cleaner...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge
Just FYI. I will be posting group size in inches. MOA is relative to distance, but group size in Inches at 100 yards is easy to visualize in your mind. Siri can convert to metric with little effort, for those of you who live overseas.

Texas Bird Hunting Begins Soon
Texas Dove and Teal Season kicks off next month. I am an avid duck hunter and I can hardly wait for the 2017 bird season to begin. If you're like me you will probably be at the sporting goods store in the morning standing in line for that new Combination Hunting and Fishing License.

Re: Monthly Shootout: Any interest?
One detail to consider is to always scan the targets using the same scanner so that each has the same dimensions as the next. Two different scanners could yield two different dimensions/proportions/aspects. Then import them into On Target for measuring. Just saying.

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge
I use the On Target group measuring application. It's free for the basic application without all the premium features. I found it through the 6mm benchrest website. Now days the website is called accurateshooter.com.

Re: Monthly Shootout: Any interest?
For a while posting pictures was frustrating, but Tarrin fixed that problem with attachments. So, then I was going to announce that the top three shooters would get a custom Winners Icon for their signature line. We have done that in the past. Now, I'm of the mind to hold off it we are going to do t...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge
This postal shoot has really surpassed all previous challenges. We currently have 78 members competing and there's no telling what the count will be by September 1st. I'm serving Jury Duty this week and am somewhat limited as to the times I can make it to the post office. If you have just registered...

Group size is the deciding factor. Distance from the center of the bulls eye is the tie breaker.
