Re: Monthly Shootout: September 2017!!!
I'm sure Jaxteller will chime in, however the method he states is available in the On Target application. It measures both group size and group distance from dead center of the bulls eye.

Measuring Group Size
I put this graphic together to help understand group size measurement. Hopefully this will help. The key factor seems to be determining the exact location of the shot hole center. The most accurate way I have found is to use On Target to identify the centers of the shot holes, using the magnificatio...

Re: New load!
I found this on their website. They also have an app you can download. They don't specifically list the 39gr. SBKs though. I've tried N-133 with my custom benchrest style .204 Ruger shooting 35gr. Bergers and it worked very well. I ended up using Benchmark. My rifle groups a little better with Bench...

Re: 2000 rounds and still shooting
after the yearly shootout I decided to do a new load workup ladder for RL -10X just to see if the barrel is shot out. In the past this barrel has shot some .2's and .3's. Never had any yesterday but my old standby load did give me a couple of good groups. Hope I can get the pics to post My XR100 re...

While your at it, try the 35gr. Berger bullets. Some members here report minimal damage using them.

Re: Texas Bird Hunting Begins Soon
We nailed 'em!! Got set up well before LST and just waited till exactly 30 minutes before sunrise. We all limited out in about 2 hours. Mostly blue wing teal this early in the season. Game warden waded all the way out to where we were to check us just about the time we shot our last bird. We were ri...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge
I wanted to thank everyone for their generosity, kind words, and for the level of sportsmanship you exhibited. I intend to host another Challenge next year for those who are interested in a postal, snail mail, shoot. Until then, I am going to go shoot some monthly, no rules, groups to practice. See ...

Re: Texas Bird Hunting Begins Soon
Going teal hunting this Saturday. Big decisions. Do I take my Browning Cynergy Over-Under which swings like a dream or my Browning Maxus with an extra shot. Should I shoot Black Cloud at 1450 fps or Hypersonic at 1700 fps? Decisions, Decisions. I hope all goes well like last year. Well, with the exc...
