Re: Friday The 13th Lucky or Not ?

Dennis,
Long winded? Not at all. Great write up on your hunt and a nice looking cat. Congratulations to Colton and the proud Dad. Savor the moments hunting with Colton, they are priceless.

Re: Sons First Coyote With An AR

Dennis,
Tell Colton congratulations for me. I know what you're saying about not shooting but it's worth it to get to hunt and spend time with your son. You can't put a price on that and life doesn't come equipped with reverse!

Re: 1-8-12 Coyote

ryutzy,

I was using an open reed howler and just used the very tip of it to make the whimpers. Primos had a whimper call Randy Anderson helped design but in one of his later videos he said you could imitate it with any open reed howler. It works.

1/8/12 Coyote

This morning I went out to a place I haven’t been since last season and I prefer an east wind when I hunt this area because I have to approach it from the west. I checked the weather while the coffee was makin’ and NOAA said it was calm and then an east breeze after day light. I walked out in the da...

RAMOS, Me offer classes! You've got to be kidding! I type using two fingers and a toe or two. :D Rick, I use the features in Photo Bucket when I down load the pictures. I use to have a program for editing but lost it when I got a new computer. GTOHunter, I haven't talked to anyone around here that ...

12/27/11 Coyote

Back on the morning of 12/26, I went out to the creek bottom before daylight to see if anything might be visiting the deer carcasses. It was a clear, frosty morning around 27* and I sat in the edge of the field down by the creek where I could see about 800 yards to the north up the bottom and about ...

Re: Ruger LC9.........

acloco,
Thanks for the info, I'll have to give it a try.

Glen,
Once I try what acloco suggested, I'll try to get her out if the weather cooperates and maybe she will like it better.

Re: Ruger LC9.........

Today, Christmas Day, the temperature got up to 49* and sunny so after lunch my wife Linda and I got out and was going to see how the LC9 was going to work for her. I had her do some dry firing first so she could get the feel of the gun and the trigger. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v724/melvin5...

Re: ND Coyote Hunt on 12-9-2011--Photos

Silverfox, I understand what you're saying about the cold weather making them respond better. We've had some warm weather here for this time of year and I haven't had much luck with getting them to come to the call. It's usually better when we hit late Dec. and the ground gets frozen. The coyotes ca...

Re: Conseal Carry Law

Be careful of Obama, if he's offering you something in one hand, you had better look and see what the other hand is doing! It's like offering a fly a crumb in one hand and the other is holding the fly swatter.

Re: Coyote Moon

Dennis,

Looks like you had another good time with Colton. I like those full moon, snow covered nights, you don't even need a light to hunt'em.

Congratulations on your coyote. You'll always remember this first coyote just like remembering your first girl friend. Keep the stories and pictures coming.
