Re: How many rounds to burn out a .204 bbl?

A investment in a bore scope may be a good idea since there are some out there that are reasonable. The down side is you need to know and be able to interrupt what you actually see.

Re: 405 yard cow elk with 30-06

Nice shootin' Guy. I know there are cartridges with higher velocities, that are flatter shooting, having less recoiling and harder hitting rounds than the 30-06 but the ole' gal still gets it done and IMO is probably the most versatile hunting cartridge there is. Nice pictures and thanks for sharing...

Re: New Forum Title?

I would agree about the name change. There are a lot more 20-cals in the game now than there was when I joined [20 Practical, 20 Tactical, 20 SCC, 20-222, 20-250 and I'm sure more are out there I haven't mentioned]. For me, I have three 204 Rugers and don't plan on parting with any of them anytime s...

Re: HK VP9SK birthday present

I bought myself a VP9 a couple of years back and I really like it. The only negative part about it and H&K in general is some of the components are on the spendy side but then again, that's an old news-flash. At the time I also procured a CZ P10C so both of those are quite comparable with each o...

Re: 6mm Remington Light Bullets

JW, I tried the 55gr BT in both my 243 Win and my 243AI. Blistering speeds, but mediocre accuracy. The terminal effect on PD's and squirrels was remarkable as would be assumed though. Worth a try, but doubtful they will become part of a coveted "Pet Load". Your fndings may differ, but tha...

Well bud, they're either in the fields shootin' rats or [hopefully not like me---] working.

I ended up getting a factory modified bolt handle to clear the scope eyepiece, otherwise it looks the same.

Re: Stumbled onto a CZ527

Checked out anew gun store yesterday and walla, on the shelve was a CZ527 American in 204R. Gave it a going over and looked good and the price was really good, with how it is, so the paper work is in the over, so to speak. Will pick it up in around ten days and then will give it a take down, cleani...

Heck, if it gets to dang expensive, I'll have to retire because I won't be able to afford to go drive to work

Re: 204 ruger not cycling

I had a similar problem with mine not locking back with my AR-10's I put together that ended being a receiver issue. In my case, the problem would move when swapping receivers amongst the two I had at the time. One thing different though mine would cycle and pick up rounds. Since the problem tends t...

Rick, Did you experience any temp sensitivity with the N133? You are absolutely right about the skyrocketing prices of reloading consumables...and everything else we buy now. But I believe that expensive and accurate hand loaded ammo is the least and last thing I can do for Skippy. LOL!! The one th...
