Re: 39gr H4895 OCW Load workup
Ha! Exactly - exactly! - what I came here to ask about today: 39gr SBK with H4895. I'll be running my own OCW on this combo within the within the next month, I will be sure and post results. Thanks! I'd have a pretty tough time myself reading the OCW tea leaves with this test. I don't see a clear no...

Re: CZ is in the house!
Wow, that's awesome. My 527 Varmint has a very pedestrian stock, so much so that I have no qualms about replacing it with a B&C Kevlar this rat season.

Welcome aboard, McGee68.
Nice groups there.
May I ask, what is the software you're using?
Best wishes,
Dan

Wish I'd have known about these before I went with Talleys. Good rings, just hate how high they are.

heck, that's bad news. Understandable from the ranchers' point of view. I have an organic field I shoot, wonder how that will play out?

Re: Squirrels around Yreka?
Thanks, gents. I was hoping - it would sure be nice to have a straight shot on I-5 down to rat country. Plus, there's no more beautiful place in the world than the Shasta country. I swear up and down I'll move there if the State of Jefferson ever becomes a reality. Kevin, hope we can get out and do ...

How important is a "clean" powder?
Browsing reloading forums, I come across quite a bit of characterization of powders as "clean" or "dirty." I have some experience of this using Bullseye which seems to dirty up autos more than factory loads. The reason I'm asking here is there's no one outside competitive shooter...

Squirrels around Yreka?
Anyone know if the Belding's ground squirrel occurs in the Yreka/Weed area of Siskiyou County? I'm driving through there right now and thought I spotted some mounds.

Volquartsen stock types
Finally decided to take the plunge and get a Volquartsen in 17hmr. I'm undecided between the VX-5000 stock and the Thumbhole Silhouette stock. Strictly a bench rifle. Can anyone offer up some intel? I'm planning a trip to Varmit Extreme sometime in the next couple weeks to handle a few and hopefully...

Benelli Nova.
I've always considered shotguns a pretty utilitarian tool, although I love Parkers. I'm really liking skipper's Browning Cynergy Mossy Oak Shadow Grass. One of those may have to find it's way into the boat this fall.

Re: Coaxial Front Rest for shooting Skippy
Thanks again, Rick. I am feeling a bit sheepish right now - It never occurred to me to control elevation by sliding the rear bag up and down the stock. I'll try that before I drop a bunch of money on a coaxial top.
