Sightron LRMOA-H
Just received the newly released Sightron SIII 8X32 with the LRMOA-H reticle. Wow, what a nice long range reticle, similar to the varmint hunter but with more detail and pretty fine marks & dots. MSRP is 1209.00 and Liberty optics is shipping for 799.00. Also, they have the same in 6x24. Just th...

Help with varmint upper build
Hello. I'm building a .204 Ruger AR with a 24" White Oak varmint barrel, 15" Seekins SP3R V3 hand guard, and a Syrac lo profile adjustable gas block. My question is about the clearance of the gas block inside the hand guard. The top & sides are fine but the clearance on the bottom betw...

Re: Tell us about yourself...
Hello. Better late than never I guess. I'm Jim from Baytown, Texas, 63 years old. My dad opened a meat market/bar-b-q business when I was 12 & was turned over to me at 22. I still own it but I'm semi retired. I cut meat, bar-b-qued, and processed deer & hogs most all my life. 5 years ago I d...

Re: Winchester brass
IMHO, Hornady brass in the boxes of 50 are far better than Win. or Rem. but not in the class with Norma. I wish Norma would make Laupa 204 brass although I have enough Norma 204 & 220 Swift to last me many years. JD Southeast Texas

Re: Best Wife Ever! (hint: Cooper)
Heck, he needs to come down to Texas for about a week and shoot with some of us "GOOD OLE BOYS". I believe after that he would have a brand new attitude. He can even bring his Daisy Red Ryder. JD Texas

Re: Neck turning
That F/L die will work your brass too much IMO. You can use a Body Die which won't work your necks, and if you need more shoulder bump, the Redding Competition Shell Holder Kit will give you six shellholders in .002" thickness increments to properly set your case headspace for every rifle you ...

Re: Vortex Crossfire II 6-18X44 AO
Hi fox. I put one on an AR .223 & it's a nice scope. The eye relief is not very forgiving, you have to get it pretty much the same every time. The very first time I used it at the range, the elevation turret came completely out of the scope. The bright side is I sent it back to Vortex & with...

Re: Cleaning brass
Out of the ultrasonic, I don't do much rinsing or drying. It comes with a basket, colander type, and I just dunk in clean water a couple times, pour on a towel and let the air/sun do the rest. IMHO, it's easier than tumbling, but that's why they make different colors to choose from. JD Texas

Leupold vs Nightforce
Hi fellows. I'm wanting a new scope & would like your thoughts on the subject. Looking at the Nightforce NXS velocity 1000 recticle & Leupold VX 6 VHR. I want 24X max power. Leaving the cost aside, which one in your opinion is the better scope for clarity mostly & function? My aging eyes...

Re: Cleaning brass
I don't hear about it much, but I bought a RCBS ultra sonic cleaner that I use and love it. Maybe not as shiny as a tumbler but primer pockets & inside look like new. No cleaning primer pockets or media out. I can always tumble for a shine. JD Southeast Texas

204 DIE CHOICE & NECK SIZING QUESTIONS
Hello 204 fans. I have a few questions I'd like to hear answers/opinions about. I have 2 204's, one a custom AR with Shilen match barrel & the other a newly acquired brand new Remington VS SF I. The dies I have now are a set of Lee collet dies, a Forster FL sizing die, & a Lee factory crimp ...

Re: not sure where to start
itzdirty, these guy on this forum really know what they are talking about. Really great information. I'm just going to throw in my two cents worth. I had a 220 swift doing the same thing, shoot good in warm weather, not so good in cold. I put it in a H-S precision stock & problem solved. I'm thi...

Re: Vortex XLR MOA Reticle
Welcome Shady99. That's a great scope. My ageing eyes have forced me to go up in power more & more. I wish I could get the 4 x 14 with the XLR reticle for closer range shooting. Will look forward to hearing from you again. JD Southeast Texas
