Re: Primer question for .204 ruger

Thanks fellows for the information, I value your opinions more than you know. I'm still un decided about these primers but may try some but will probably stick with the rem 7 1/2 & use these in my AR 223's. Thank you for the help. Jim D

Primer question for .204 ruger

Hello shooters. I've got a few questions about primers I'd like some help with. I normally use Rem 7 1/2 BR or Fed 205 in my 204"s & 223's but was given several thousand CCI BR4's. My questions are: 1. Can you change primers without starting load development over if using the same cases &am...

Re: OPINIONS: Prep new brass for reloading?

My wife says I have a compulsive disorder about detail. I too like things as close to perfect as possible, but some things I just didn't know how to do, the reason for these opinions. I do have an issue that bothers the **** out of me. I have good shooter control, excellent triggers, & equipment...

Re: OPINIONS: Prep new brass for reloading?

futuretrades, that's where I'm at, 1/2 in. or better is my goal. None of my guns have a per say "custom" chamber & I'm not a competition shooter although I enjoy small groups. The closest thing I have to custom is a Shilen 204 & a WOA 223 barrel that I put on AR's. I do enjoy readi...

Vortex XLR MOA Reticle

Hey guys, I just thought I'd share this bit of information. I just bought two Vortex HS LR 6X24X50 FFP scopes with the XLR MOA reticle, model VHS-4315-LR. Brownell's had them with a 100.00 promo so my total 799.00 each. I love my Leupold's with the VH reticle but these are really nice also. I rally ...

Re: Cooper curse

Advice from probably your elder, for every 3 or so guns/scopes, send some flowers, jewelry, perfume, or something. Has worked for me so long that the last 15 years she doesn't even pay attention anymore to my gun buying. Last month I bought 3 rifles and did hear a little moaning. So, I bought her a ...

Re: OPINIONS: Prep new brass for reloading?

Wow Jim, thanks. I'm into accuracy. I've got really good equipment already, Lyman digital scale, comparator, run out gauge, etc. Thanks for the information, I will surly use it. How about case trimming, do you trim after every firing if needed. I'm using a bolt gun and neck sizing, pushing the shoul...

OPINIONS: Prep new brass for reloading?

Hello all. I've got a question for you seasoned reloaders about preparing new brass for loading, specially .204 & .223 with new Norma brass. I've been loading a few years but still learning. My process with new brass has been: size with Lee collet neck sizer & chamfer inside & out. Some ...

Re: Lilja 204 Ruger barrel anyone???

Sorry I'm getting back to you so late. WOA is using Wilson match blanks for their varmint barrels but do their own chambers & machine work. By fitting the barrel, are you referring to barrel nut torque & gas tube alignment? I missed you earlier but have a great new year Jim. Jim D. Southeast...
