Re: Trying Varget
FWIW, my .243 loves 41.6 grains of Varget under 70 gr Nosler BTs. One ragged hole at 100 yds. Tons of fun in a dog town until the barrel gets too warm. Good luck with your search!

Re: Advice needed please....
Jam1e, good to see you're making progress. It's been my experience that a .5 grain difference is a lot for the .204. I've seen pretty significant group changes in .3 grains or less. Good luck in your search for THE load! Keep us posted on your progress.

It's rainy and nasty here so...
I'm taking my daughter down to Bud's Gun Shop in Lexington and then to lunch and then to Sportsman's Warehouse. Anyone need anything?

Re: What Ammo Box for 204 R
No pics, but I use the MTM RS-100-24 in blue for .223 and gray/black for .204. I like the look and functionality of CRT's tray. Going to have to pop for one soon. I have his small funnel. Excellent craftsmanship!

I'd rather have lots of furry little four-legged critters to shoot at than an overabundance of components...

Re: winchester brass
Midway has Rem, Nosler, and Hornady brass. I have no idea where all the Win went (cough).

Re: My name is Brian, and I am apparently a hoarder :)
I could have my own .204 Ruger reloading show in the garage! I just pick up a bag or 3 here, a box of bullets there, it all adds up... At least I can use the 32 grain bullets in my 20 VT when I'm able to finally shoot it.
I might have to try and build an AR-15 to use all that brass.

My name is Brian, and I am apparently a hoarder :)
With time on my hand (only one arm is fully functional right now), I decided to straighten up the reloading area and do a quick inventory. I have more than 4,550 various 20 cal bullets, seven 100 ct bags of Winchester brass, two 100 ct Remington bags, 150 pieces of Nosler brass, and two 50 ct boxes ...

Re: Factory 20VT chambering
Remington recently dropped the 17 fireball, and are doing nothing to support the ones they already sold with ammo or brass. Seems that they aren't doing much to support the 221 or 17 rem either. I doubt they'd be anxious to legitimize a new cartridge that is so similar to one they just dropped, or ...

20 VT "factory" ammo? - sorry, not 204
Has anyone heard anything about this ammo? Was browsing Midway and ran across it. I've shot a lot of HSM .22 mag with no problems.

Scott, when in September were you there? We used Brad Saalsaa and RAM flew us in & out. Sheila works pretty hard to make sure everything is right.

Chrisso: Here's a brief explanation of a few of the "twenties" : http://www.accurateshooter.com/cartridge-guides/20caliber/ Sth Oz Dan: I checked, 20Vartarg.com is available! I'm sure we can all get along just fine here though. :) I hope my .204 doesn't get jealous when I put the Cooper in...

I bought this tonight, Cooper Model 21 20 VarTarg. It'll be here when I get back from a week in South Dakota. Can't wait to put glass on it, load up some test rounds, and hit the range. Thanks for all of your help and advice Rick!
