Re: What size patches for .204

I was having trouble with the same thing in my 204s using a 20cal Dewy rod and jag.I switched to a carbon fiber 17cal rod and jag with much better results.Try a 1" or 11/8" for a good fit.I use bristle brushes when necessary, otherwise wipeout patchout works well.

Re: starting to reload .204 have a few ?'s

An alternative for a window seating die is made by Bob Gremmell of Dayton Wa. http://www.gmwvickerman.com/. Call Sinclair and talk to a Tech about a camparator with bullet and shoulder inserts for the 204.The shoulder gage it what will give you the measurement you need to bump the shoulder back. You ...

Re: Illuminated reticle scopes

Contact Brad at CRT.(click on logo at top of this page).I used a Hawke sidwinder tactical 6.5-20 x 42 w dual color(red/grn)reticle last year on Prarie dogs.I didn't use or need the illuminated reticle, but I can see that it would work well in low light conditions as it has variable intensity settings...

Re: starting to reload .204 have a few ?'s

A Lee neck die should work.Prep that Federal Brass, including flash hole deburr, primer pocket uniforming, trimming(minimum, only enough to square up the mouth)deburring, and champher the inside/outside, of the neck.I have a couple dozen federal cases that have 12 loadings and still useable.A sinclair ch...

Re: Case Trimmer

I use a wilson for my 204s (3 different guns)and some necks barely extend far enough to trim(I just square up the mouth, after the first fireing).I run the tight ones through a redding body die.I would think, any collet type trimmer would work with a 20cal pilot. My Forster does.I honed out a wilson 24...

Re: First Hand Load

I was surprised to find that the 45gr Hornady SP shot so well in my 1:12 twist Ruger #1.Must be the longer bearing surface.
