Re: A Hunt To Rember

Now that's the stuff that makes the world go around. You'll remember it but I would bet she will have an even more vivid memory of it. Those yotes look a little fluffier than most of them around here. Keep up the good work and get that girl some camo......and a 204.

Re: my .204

I happen to have the same rifle in 204 and it has accounted for many prarie dogs and coyotes. Shoots both factory and reloads with no issues, factories are far superior for accuracy however. Mine wears a 6x18 Burris and is usually shot off a bi-pod.

Re: Coyotes 1/29/11

Pretty nice looking yote Melvin. Glad to see they have hair on them in some parts of the country. Most of them around here are mangy. There will probably be a few less after this cold spell with all this blowing snow. The last one I shot was about a 1/4 of the way bald and in pretty bad shape. He wa...

Re: .308 Green Machine at 800+

Guy, very nice.

The boy is getting a new Marlin XS7 from the grand parents for Christmas this year in .308 Win. Hopefully he will have a few tags filled with it this time next year. Great youth round due to the mild recoil and is obviously capable of the longer shot when needed.

Re: Savage bolt is stiff

While doing what AC described, look for wear on all portions of the bolt, there may be a spot either on the bolt or the action that is not quite right causing excess friction. They will obviously be length ways on the bolt. If you lube it I would recommend to only apply a thin layer as most lubrican...

Re: shooting bench

OldTurtle, the one your son-in-law bought appears to be the one from Do-All Outdoors and is called the Prairie Pedator. It is fairly sturdy but as you said it does take a little bit to put together. I have one that I have used on a few PD shooting sessions and it serves a purpose. If you shop around...

Re: Scope for a 17HMR.

VV, I too have the Burris Fullfield II 3x9x-40mm with Ballistic Plex on my 17 HMR and have found the same results as Glenn Asher as to the 'hash marks' for the 17 HMR 'Drop Chart' (that come with the scope) to be accurate. There are 30 total, pull and peel, stickers for an array of calibers from 17 ...

Re: need "where to" prairie dog info, please

I think I figured out how to get them from phone to here. I will give it a whirl. Sorry for the lack of quality but as I stated earlier, they are from the camera on my cell phone. This one was the first of the day from a .204 34 GR JHP. The secone one is a closer version of this. http://s307.photobu...

Re: need "where to" prairie dog info, please

SammyC Hi, newly joined but have been digging in and enjoying the site for some time now. Finally decided to join because of the outstanding positivism that seems to abound here (Rick in Oregon...KUDOS my good man) some other sites do not portray the like, also for the pure experience that so many m...

Re: Banning Of PD Shooting In Co

Newly registered to this forum. Glad to be here and have scoped it out for a few months. I did go to the website and sign the petition and I am darn glad to do it. I too have shot Pdogs in CO (amongst many other things) and do not wish for anybody, anywhere to have any form of hunting taken away fro...
