Re: what is effect of short brass

One tenth short = 1.75" on a .204
That's only half a neck. I imagine you'd have runout issues considering there'd be very little contact with the bullet.

Ten thou? that's a bit different - 1.84" - where most trim to anyway

I've got the same issue. When I use my phone I get logged in straight away, but no good on the laptop. Must be a setting needs changed on our computers. Doubt it's a site issue

I keep trying to login to 204ruger.com but somehow always end up on 20VT.com
Sure sounds like a fun round to play with and I'd love one in my cabinet.
Looks like a sweet rig mate. Enjoy

BillK - did you mean Eezox?
I'm wondering if it's the same gear as we get in Oz (Inox) under a different label

Re: Which gun oil?

I've been running a bore mop soaked in INOX down the tube after cleaning the last few times. One dry patch to get the bulk out, then store. I've pulled it out the cabinet and shot without running another dry patch through and had no troubles. No solid proof yet (through lack of history and testing) ...

Re: Ruger M77 mark 2 V/T in .204

Seeing as the Ruger Hawkeye is based on the M77 action, would the stock options be the same?
I'd like to add a longer barrel and better stock to mine one day

Nice pelt. Any damage on the other side? Should tan up nicely.
Congratulations

Re: Busy Summer in Missouri

Nice story, but did it really happen if there's no pics? Sounds like you had fun. I'm looking forward to all the hay, wheat etc to get cut around here, to expose the fox pups. Keep us posted on your October hunts, and good luck with those missed opportunities from the last few weeks. Hope they...

Re: Rem 700 suggestions

Not sure how much reloading experience you have, but a few things that really made a difference to my loads are: -Don't test loads in the wind -Make sure your bench/shooting rest or whatever you use is rock solid -Lap your scope rings and check that they're tight enough These 3 points take a lot of ...

Re: What is wrong with these primers? Picture

So can you change barrels easily with this setup? - not familiar with the rifle setup. If so, and if you're not certain about the other brass being fired on the same frame, then perhaps try the other barrel and see if you get the same result. My first guess would be that the firing pin is protruding...

G'day Chrisso
My bro and I are in the same boat as you and your dad - .204 vs .22-250
Gotta say, I've had a better hit ratio lately :D and with less powder and noise
Congrats on the foxes and welcome aboard
