Update, went in a gun store n found 3 pounds varget.they now don't have any varget but I do

Was getting great results with varget then all local places ran out.im tryin 8208 n maybe some more.everybodys input helps the cause

Just got off the phone with hogdon and they were very helpful .gave me starting and stopping weights for my 204 and 22-250

Ok im about to call hodgon.i will use 8208 in my 22-250 also

I don't have a pc just phone and tablet.when I open it there is double lines and not readable.I'd buy a pc but most of what I need I get on my tablet

This powder is new to me none of my manuals has it.was told its almost identical to varget but i dont trust its almost when i have no load info n tried hodgons site to no use.wish id waited n bought varget when it was restocked.but who knows when.i used it fine in my 204 n 23-250

Sounds a tad hot but I'm no expert.loaded other rounds n 204 is new on me as is this powder.maybe some in the know will chime in

40 grain hornady factory loads were lousy as the light loads.but I'm working between 35 n 39 grain loads.I prefer a little weight to smack when it gets there.
Its odd a friend has a new savage n his eats 40 grain hornadys n groups great, mine did great with 32 grains.

I got a new handi rifle in .22 hornet.figured it would be a truck rifle.suprize suprize it groups tight .shines with 12 grains lil gun pushing 45 grain hornadys

I got a ruger american preditor n its accurate out of the box.its easy to get the trigger down to a 1 pound crisp snap too.

I got 39 sierra blitzkings and 8208 xbr powder.my qusetion what's a good starting charge? Was thinking 26.5 grains but not sure and ehats max load 28 grains? New guy here.at 62 I'm an avid hunter target puncher.eased into a ruger in 204 ruger to join my 22 hornet and 22-250. I'm discovering my 204 is becoming rifle of choice.
I am getting set up to reload .I will load 204 ruger, 22 hornet, 22-250 and my big blackhawk 45 colt.
