Re: it just keeps raining

They're thick in the alfalfa fields, there are days when it'd be good to have someone keeping my .17 mags full the shooting is so continuous.

Re: it just keeps raining

It was great weather for the Roundup, but not since, I took my game cart to get to my favorite spot. Ground was frozen early, but not after 9AM.

it just keeps raining

haven't fired a shot since the Round-up, all this rain is keeping the little critters under ground, just hope as another shooter said that they are fornicating like crazy in their burrows.

Re: 2019 Squirrel Roundup

Launching a rat at 250 yrds is so addictive, it keeps me looking for the next launch. Fri, Sat we're the only below par days and that's when I just use the 204 and don't even look much closer than 200, slow but hits are oh so satisfying.

2019 Squirrel Roundup

I went up with wife the Wed before and shot Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, and a couple hrs this morning. The WX was great, but many acres of most all farms had been tilled which isn't very good for shooters, so it was crowded. I had good numbers Thursday, Fri/Sat not so good, Sunday was good even though my ...

Re: Happy New Year

Thank you Bill, and may all your shots be on. I am already thinking about a mid January trip.

MORH

That would be good, those body shots are pretty messy. FYI: I recently read for better alligment to replace the spring clip that secures the shell holder with an O-ring, haven't implemented that one yet either, but I'll do both, pretty easy mods.

Re: Collet dies

To all of the above; yeah I don't want to mess up a good shooting rifle, it's certainly shoots well within a MOR (minute of rat)and I'd never heard anything about the loose expander, but will implement that trick.

Re: Collet dies

Yes that's my objective, and I'm using 3 different brands now and I have Noslers that I haven't started using yet. Not sure what what I'm going to do yet, need to remeasure my expander ball first.

Re: Collet dies

Ok great I'll keep this info for sure, the variations in tensions when I seat bullets can't be good.

Re: Collet dies

Thanks Bill, yeah doesn't much, neck only has never worked well for me after several neck sizing i'd still have to FL. I just barely push the shoulder back when I size <.0002"

Collet dies

Looking for advice on this subject, I use RP, win, and Hornady brass with the 204 and there is a lot of variation in the resistance I feel when seating bullets especially with the Hornady's. So I am considering a Collet die to get some consistency in neck tension, I've read about neck tension and tu...
