Re: Pb blocker

i have used wipe out and had pretty good success with it but i was wondering if the Pb blocker can help prevent/reduce the copper to begin with. my grand son works on a drilling rig in No. Dak and they use this product by the 55 gal bbl. to clean up the pipe as they are pulling it up getting ready t...

Pb blocker

i recently read about a product called Pb blocker--their claim is that it reduces the cleaning bench time by 90%. has anyone tried this product and if so what are the pro's and con's of it. all of my guns seem to accumulate copper in varying amounts and i would like to avoid that as much as possible.

Re: 204 Ruger Accuracy Concerns / Problems

I own a ruger American in .243 cal.--the first box of factory ammo after sighting in I put 4 rounds at 100 yd in a group that measured .4l4--for me that was pretty good. the second box of shells gave me a group that measured just over .310 at 100 yards. I am not too crazy about their trigger but for...

Re: Seating depth/jump?

when you load a .204 out to the lands you will have trouble spilling the powder into the chamber. if it still shoots good with out being out to the lands, what the heck. shoot and smile.

Re: Best powder for the .204 Ruger???

one of my best .204 loads is 30.6 grains of cfe-223 with 35 grain berger bullets--right at 4,000 fps and extremely accurate. I always get best results with rem 7 1/2 primers

Re: Temperature sensative 204 ruger powder Help!

hodgdons have just come out with a new line of IMR powders that they claim are indifferent to temp changes. IMR 4166 is recommended for the smaller calibers-.204, .223, .22-250 etc. I just shot a .363 3 shot group with a savage mod. 12. they claim good velocity but as it is winter here I have a hard...

Re: Best powder for the .204 Ruger???

yesterday at the range it was 40 degrees and raining off and on. I shot a 3 round group with 27.9 grains (over max) of H-322 and 32 grain v-max hornady bullets into a group that measured .108. this was with a mod 12 savage with a 26" bbl. and a 4-16X50 vortex viper. a little luck and a lot of h...

Re: Best powder for the .204 Ruger???

i have 2# of CFE 223 and am wondering how this is going to work with 32g v max and 35g Bergers? I have used cfe-223 with 35 grain bergers with excellent results I use 30.9 grains of powder , rem 7.5 primers for 3990 fps. I shoot that load in a mod 12 savage with a 26" bbl. if I do my part I ca...

Re: Safely extrapolating load data

I assume you mean 35 grain bergers. I use 30.9 grains of cfe-223 and rem 71/2 primers. my savage 12 with a 26 inch bbl has shot a group at .185" @ 100 yd.

Re: Berger 35gr. and H322~help!

my savage likes 35 gr. bergers. 30.9 grains of cfe-223, rem 7 1/2, 3990 fps. best load to date is .185"@ 100 yd. those rem. primers work better than everything I have tried--cci, cci-br4,fed gm205m . I am sure you will be able to make the h-322 work altho I haven't tried it yet I have read a go...

H-335 powder should use mag primers for best ignition.

Re: What is wrong with these primers? Picture

I had the same problem with rem 6 1/2 primers it looked like I would end up with a pierced primer--I did not have one. I went to a Remington website and it stated that the 6 1/2 primers have a soft cup and were made initially for the .22 hornet round. I have since tried some loaded rounds in an ar-1...

Re: 204 range day

I think with that short barrel you lose at least 30fps for every inch of barrel. 9" less length will probably cost you close to 300fps velocity. makes seem to me that you are getting pretty good velocity from that length barrel.
