Re: A Decent Day

sharptail--I use handcalls 95% of the time. I do have Randy's Primos electronic caller. It works well when it works, but I'm on my 2nd one in a short time. I sent the first one back for warranty and I need to send this one back for warranty also, but I'm not going to bother. I've got trouble with th...

Re: 204 magazine options

I have had trouble with any plastic mags due to expansion of the sides of the magazine. I went to a METAL Charles Daily brand and now all is well with the world. JME

Re: A Decent Day

Buy a couple of Randy Anderson and the Verminator videos. They will show you all you need to know. That's how I learned and it works!

Here are a few pics of mine. Most pics are not closeups as they're on hunts. http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j473/ryutzy/1-14-12yotepic2.jpg http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j473/ryutzy/12-12-11yote.jpg http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j473/ryutzy/araction.jpg http://i1087.photobucket.com/...

Re: 204 coyote bullet advise

Stick with what you have........if you want to change try CRTs (wirelessguys) 37 grain bullet. I wouldn't give up yet. Make sure your shots hit the vitals and you will be ok. 250 yards is a decent shot in a hunting environment and you may have been slightly off left or right and got the shoulder on ...

Re: Who's using Redding dies and what type?

I use their competition sets, but I'm sure the Type S dies will be great also. These dies are awesome and I dont even consider other dies at all. If I had an arbor press I'd go with L.E. Wilson dies but otherwise I'm sold on Redding.

Re: Super Bowl Counter-Snipers

Well i think it's great and if somebody went nutz in there we'd all be glad for the snipers. It's a high profile event and I think it was a good call to have some security like that hidden away.

Re: Need a new and better scale.....

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up buying the RCBS 505 model and I'll report back with my thoughts on it. I had a digital scale and decided to try a balance beam before I spend a lot on an expensive digital scale. Once I am able to report back on my ES i'll let you know.

Need a new and better scale.....

Question for you benchrest shooters.....what powder scale is the best out there? I need a more accurate scale as mine is only accurate to .2 of a grain. I currently have a cheaper digital scale and I want to squeeze more accuracy out of my loads. I am torn between the old balance beam scales or one ...

Re: Just how important is clean brass?

As mentioned I clean for looks and to keep my dies clean. I would think if you dont clean your brass you would have to clean the inside of your dies quite often for good accuracy. I really clean my brass (with 0000 steel wool) for my 6MM AI because I am shooting a "tightneck" and the sligh...

Re: Anyone use a Hornady seater/crimp die?

I have a Hornady die set and used it for a while, then I bought Redding Dies and have never regreted it. Sucks to buy the dies twice.........just buy the best and be done with it. Anyway I did try the crimp with Hornady die sets in my 204 and did not have good luck with it. You can try it but I dont...
