Re: Re Honesty
I understand the think behind using witnesses, etc. to ensure honesty, but want to suggest that the bottom line is that either we're going to be truthful or not....and no amount of long distance "controls" are really effective. Over the years I've found that gun folks, and rifle folks in ...

Re: Classes
I support the more simplified classes: Factory Modified Custom And leave the ammo issue out of it..... JMHO, George The thing is, the ammo will be the biggest handicap. Handloads in a factory rifle will shoot better then factory ammo in a custom rifle. Well, it should anyway. I like the more simpli...

My LRPV seemed to like both the hornady 32gr and 40gr loads. Glen Asher even suppiled some handloaded 39gr Blitzkings that worked even better. The barrel only had like 20 or so rounds thru it at the time and they were all under an inch. But yeah, every rifle is differant. I actully have a ruger No. ...

Well, your going to have to split the class's three times. Custom loading, factory loaded hornady, all others. Then you'll have to split it 3 or 4 more times for bullet weights. I've seen this with the rimfire guys, sounds fun. Though spliting the class's will be complicated. I know, I kno...

I have a Ruger No. 1 Stainless Varminter in 204 as well. I now have 60 rounds of Hornady Factory 32gr V-max's thru mine. I have left mine stock, and it should get better with more rounds down the tube. At this point the only thing i'd like to change is the trigger. One thing i've noticed is this rif...

My Ruger No. 1 Stainless Varminter did not like the heavier bullets at all. Tried the Hornady 40gr, and 10 of Glen Ashers handloads with 39gr Blitz Kings. I only have 50 rounds thru this rifle, and Glen's loads were not tailord to this rifle, so in 100 more rounds who knows. BTW, the groups weren't ...
