Range Report, Sunday 06-13-2010
Went out and shot some paper this morning. We've had rain every day lately, and it's forecast to rain through this week too. The ground was soggy and grass wet. I shot from about 8-12:30, trying to take things slow, I used a single shot follower in my AR-15. I think I'm convinced that I shoot better...

Postal shoot cancelled.
With the deadline for initial registrations passing Monday, and only 9 entrants signed up for the most popular class, I'm going to have to call this shoot a bust. There may be many reasons why so few of you chose to participate, but I tried to accommodate every request for changes or ideas I was giv...

Re: UK shooting spree
First, sorry to hear about what happened there. I think it's scary to the gun owning community when someone does something like this, because the uneducated may grab at solution they're told will keep it from ever happening again, like banning all firearms or something. no amount of legislation can ...

Re: 204 RCBS Trim Pro 3-Way Cutter
I use the .20cal 3-way cutter on a powered Trim Pro. It may not save much time, as I can only do about 3 cases per minute. I think I leave the cutter engaged a little longer than I would without the 3-way cutter just to make sure the case mouths get done consistently. I'd use one for all calibers, n...

Man, I'm hunting Illinois next year. Every coyote I ever see you with looks like somebody's been feeding it to keep it healthy, and grooming it. They're always beautiful. Awesome stories guys. I have nothing close to those.

Re: BitterRoot Valley Ammo IN-STOCK...CheaperThanDirt
That price could definitely be worth it. I probably have $450 into loading my first batch of 1000. If it's Winchester brass they use, I would have rather purchased the first 1000 loaded for another $100 over what I spent in components. I guess it depends on the components they use, and how they perf...

Re: Leupold 4.5-14 matte SOLD
I made a trade with Hotshot on this. It arrived today, and is in pristine condition, with Butler Creeek flip-up caps and Leupold scope coat. A couple weeks ago, I was out shooting targets with my .204's for only the 2nd time past 100 yards. I had zeroed my AR-15 in at 200 yards, and was going to che...

Re: SONIC CLEANER
Thank you guys for saving me from buying another gadget that isn't really going to be worth the time. I looked at that same model ultrasonic cleaner back before Hornady had their name on it. Back when it was $59 all over eBay. It was right about the time that article came out on 6mmbr.com. What stop...

Re: grouping worsens as scope power increases?
Here's a good link too.
Off topic, but this is another great link. Best example I've seen showing why all rifles should have a bubble level on them.

Re: grouping worsens as scope power increases?
Taken from 2009 Leupold Rifle Scope Owners Handbook: Understanding parallax Parallax is the apparent movement of the target relative to the reticle when you move your eye away from the center point of the eyepiece. It occurs when the image of the target does not fall on the same optical plane as the...
