Re: Winter wonderland

No snow here but plenty of cold temps. The wind chill while hoofing it into PSNS yesterday was -6 due to the balmy winds in 20-degree weather. Y'all be careful out there and stay safe.

Re: What's Your Carry of Choice

Thanks Rick. Setting up a revolver timing, and all, kinda' looks like trying to stack BB's, not an easy task for the experienced and more so for the inexperienced.

Re: What's Your Carry of Choice

Rick...did you change the barrels yourself or have someone do it for you? Just curious because I'm curious about the timing and cylinder alignment.

Thanks,

Re: What's Your Carry of Choice

Lots of excellent looking hardware. For me, I have a wide variety options in a wide variety of calibers. Some are striker-fire models while others are the more traditional semi-auto's such as the 1911. Calibers range from 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP. If I'm in the woods, it's a S&W 629 or a Glock...

Re: Seating off the lands

I imagine that large freebore is one of the design functions for the 204 Ruger's performance. I use 39 SBK and I can get groups in the .2 and .3 inches at 200 yards. My CZ shoots the 40gr ok but not great. My Remington 700 204's don't like them at all. Don't be afraid to try different combinations, ...

Re: Happy new year- 2024

Happy New Year to everyone. I'm sitting here watching the news and I'm giggling my @$$ off at these sanctuary-city mayors complaining about the illegals being dropped off into their cities complaining about their open-boarders and open arms policy also comes with open-wallet reality.

Re: .204 expander question

One caveat using the VLD tool, go easy as these tools really cut. Too much force/rotation can make the brass case neck into a mini-cookie cutter. A little bit is all you need. This "cannot" be over emphasized. I purchased mine from K&M many years ago. It's a carbide cutter and a...

Re: A thread about Glocks-

I was late to the party with Glocks. What do all of you think Glocks? Well you asked so here’s my two cents and it’s worth every penny you paid for it; I purchased my first Glock 30 years ago from a local LEO, a Model 23 [40 S&W] for $400 bucks. At the time I didn’t think much of it. About 10 y...

Re: Favorite 20 Caliber cartridge??

I only have two 20 calibers, 20 VT & 204. A couple of my 204's are heavy enough I can see the hits. The other one is a CZ carbine, and it's a great walk-around rig and while deadly accurate, it is-not the ideal bench rig for rat shooting primarily because the barrel heats up very quickly. All of...

Rick...that looks like the same bullet I use in my 20 VT; 32 Grain Nosler Ballistic Tip. "Bingo"! You've won the grand prize there Jim! It is indeed the 32gr NBT shown in that pic. It, along with their excellent flat-base poly-tipped Varmageddon are my two most used varmint bullets, along...

I don't have one of those because I'm on a septic system. Hope it turns out well and its plug-n-play instead of plug-n-pray.
