Since a 17 fireball and a 17 Mach IV are so similar, can published load data for the fireball be used for the Mach IV,
or is there to much difference between the two . Dan

Dan, published book data for the 17FB is completely safe to use in the Mach IV. The only differences in the cases are neck length, shoulder datum and slight body taper differences......case capacity is about identical. For all practical purposes, they are the same.
I have and shoot a 17 Mach IV (Sako Vixen/Shilen), and when I saw published 17FB data, I could plainly see the exact same range of working loads, both starting and max.
