I'm blessed with good eyesight I guess. I'll tell ya' though, I'll never forget the 1st time I laid down @ 1000 yds with a M1 Garand. That was definetly a frustrating event, but it sure beat pulling weeds in the garden... ;)

Jim, anything beats pulling weeds. I think it was Elmer Kieth who once said " God don't deduct any time spent looking through sights of of your life span" i sure hope he was right :D KB.

Jim/Ken: I read Elmer's exact words. In that case, I've added a few years to my lifespan. If all goes well in a few more weeks, I'll add even more. Skippy won't be too thrilled though, as his lifespan is about to get much shorter. ;)

To all;

Thanks for the kind words. Shooting, whether its open sights (apature) has three basic rules;
Front Sight, Sight Alignment, Trigger Control. If you can do these three things consistently, you'll do good. Also, marksmanship is like dairy products; they will SOUR if not used.

Just a thought, it's a good job your skippy never got to read guns&ammo or he might have gotten himself a tele sight to extend his life :lol:

Ken: Forget about tele sights, if we don't keep an eye on these little buggers, they go out and arm themselves with select-fire belt-fed weapons! THAT can be a real problem!

Now you see why we have to keep these pesky rodents under control...... ;)
