Yes, I have a big magnet that assists in separation of brass from media. I would recommend one that also has the drop feature. You squeeze the handle and it releases the SS media.

You can also use a separator pan like the ones for dry media in the initial sorting process.

The pins I use will pass through the flash holes and won't jam up in the primer pockets but they can be a irritating to get out of bottle neck cases and use I use a magnet because I don't want to launch a SS pint down the barrel.

The mineral spirits helps a bunch with cleaning inside with CC media, you have to look close to tell its not virgin. I sometimes tumble longer than normal after decapping and sizing, then have to go back through and check every flash hole and case. I was surprised at how well the CC cleaned the primer pockets.

Buddy used some of the metal media in cleaning solution and tumbled, then he went to vibratory type. He had some me issues with groups and numbers and cost him a lot of points in matches.
Last time we talked he had went to a sonic cleaner.
He swore the issues were caused from the metal media peening the case necks. He annealed every time as well.
