Barnes VLC in 22 cal

I acquired a bunch of the 40gr Barnes VLC solid dry film coated bullets. AKA "blue meanies". It seems to me the stuff would get impregnated into the barrel walls. Then forcing me to continue to use coated bullets. Or does it clean out with ease.

I think Rick in Oregon uses those in one of his rifles. He would be the one in the know.
If you prefoul your tube with regular bullets first the blue film should be a lot easier to remove I would think. :chin:

Mike: I've been shooting those little blue meanies in my 223AI for years without any trouble at all; cleans right out, less fouling, great velocity. I wish Barnes still made them.

Hay RIO...........I didn't know little blue meanies turned Red when used correctly...........Great photos!
Nice write up too on the USMC new tac rifle..........Glade our guys are putting it to good use. 175's in .308 this is what I weened my teeth on shooting 1K.
