I goofed, but then again I didn't.

Post by Ohlsen »

I had a few custom .20 cal bullets sent to me, so I pulled some .20 Tac rds that I wasn't interested in shooting. I grabbed the dies and ran the rds thru the neck sizer. When I got around to loading these I notice only about 3/32" or so of the neck was sized. Picked up the box of dies and found out I had used my .204 Ruger neck die. I loaded them, worked good, may try this again.

Nothing wrong with that. You just neck sized...but with a set of dies from a 204 instead of a Tac 20

No goof I've done that on purpose.
Amazing accuracy is possible by eliminating as much neck tension variations as possible.
For me the ES's went through the roof but I did'nt seem to notice on paper at 100-200 yards.
Further out I'm sure it would bite you.
