Progressive volume reloading press for handgun?

Post by Earl Three Beavers »

I'm looking at Dillon but don't know of any other makes. What do you guys use for a volume reloading press for handgun? This will be mostly for .45ACP, maybe some 9x19. Not looking for any great accuracy, just to save some bux on range ammo and produce cheaper carry rounds. Thanks!

E3B: I'm still using my old Ponsess Warren semi-progressive Metal-Matic for all my pistol reloading, but agree wholeheartidly to go with the Dillon 550B. There's one in my future too, that is if I can quit buying/building guns and use the money more wisely.

Every time I'm over at my buddy's house that is using his, I swear it's my next purchase......

I seriously considered the Hornady, but it is more money and the accessories/extras are also more money.

Get the Dillon. Not just for volume but for quality too. If you do your part you will produce as good a round with the Dillon as with a single stage press.

Dillon 550B. Once you get it set up it will produce very accurate loads and you can crank'um out purty fast.
Enjoy it while you have it, because things will change.

Dillon, for sure. I'm still loading on an old 450 Dillon that I purchased over 25+ years ago. The service from Dillon is worth a lot, if you need parts, information, etc.

Thanks, Gary. My issue of Blue Press is an old one, so I just signed up. Maybe Santa could tell the elves at Dillon?
