375 JDJ reloading info.?

Post by Va varminter »

Thinking of getting a 375 JDJ barrel for my encore (rifle). Between that and a 405 win. My problem is I can't find any reloading info online for it. Any of you guys have it in a newer manual or know where I can get it online. The Hogdon website had some powder charges but no pessure listed.

Va, Va , I have load data for the 375 JDJ from JD Jones at SSK I will fax you if you like but it only has load data and velocity no pressure figures and my data was for the older regular contender frame , not sure if you could bump it up with the encore or not .

Its a great caliber !! Out of my 12 1/2 '' bbl it will do 2000 fps with 220 gr hornadays and about 1800 with 270 gr. , just a great deer load with the 220 gr , the 270 's are a bit stiff !!!!!!! You will want to get it mag-n-ported for a handgun !!! Its to nasty without it !!

Maybe thats why I shoot the 204 now !!!!!!!!!!!! Just kidding !!! I was considering a 23 '' bbl. in the 375 JDJ for deer hunting as I still have all the dies etc.
