Is there much difference?

Post by Jersey Hunter »

Is there much difference in clarity, brightness, for hunting between these scopes. None of the sporting stores in my area carry enough a selection to compare.
Weaver grand slam
Bushnell elite 4200
Nikon buck master

You've picked 3 good ones. When I can't go with a Leupold VXIII, I go bushnell Elite.

Personally, I think the Nikon anything scopes that say x40 should indicat that it is actually x32 or less. Clarity is good, expecially for the price, but the x32 mm actual objective size and the wide line reticles have turned me off of them.

The Elite is the top scope you listed, by far.
