WTB 500 rds loaded .204 ammo

Post by Glocksig »

Hi all,

I know this is a tall order but I have my annual prairie dog trip coming up and I can’t find .204 ammo anywhere. Normally I shoot 32 grain hornady but I’m not going to be picky. I’m looking to buy 500 rds. Let me know what you’ve got.

Thanks!

Just the other day I posted that Nosler has loaded 204 ammo IN STOCK right now and at sale prices.

Maybe check the forum first before posting a 'want'? Their Pro Shop also has seconds and blems at discount prices.

Only thing I saw from them was $45 for 20 rounds. Not quite that desperate.

Looks like it's time to consider getting into reloading then.
We have a week long rat shoot coming up soon, I take 1,200 rounds for each CF rat rifle. That would be impossible with factory ammo, but no problemo here, because I handload.

Something you've thought about for a while, now time to seriously consider it.

Funny I used to reload, sold all my stuff when I switched to an AR platform. Found that for less than 50 cents a round I could shoot Fiocchi with the VMAX bullet in it that performed about the same. Of course that’s all discontinued now.

That's funny.....one of the reasons I got into reloading even more aggressively was when I was loading for my F/A Colt XM177E2 carbine, the forerunner of what is now the M4. Feeding a F/A requires LOTS of ammo, hence always having at least 2K cases available. We used to go into the open desert with our little AR's and shoot running jackwabbits on the run. Now that is a bushel of fun!

Too bad you sold all your equipment, sellers remorse now?

First off, you should never have sold your reloading gear. Second. You are going to be hard pressed to find loaded ammo, in the amount your want and for sure at a price, where you can say, "Not quite the desparate" in this time of short, low or no supplies.
You just might find you are not going on your annual shoot, this year.

I will say I would never sell my hand loads to any one for any price at any time...ever.

Hey guess what? I am going on a PD shoot in April with my guns and hand loads. I will post some pictures here and you can live out your desires from my pictures and posts. It will save you money, and you can get the feel of the hunt sitting at home.

A buddy of mine was able to scrounge up enough components to get me by this year. If it doesn’t get better next year I may have to switch to .223 (gasp)
