has anyone used the 154 SST hornday for the 7mm rem. mag? if so how do they perform on deer size and up.
As long as the primers Ignite!!!

A buddy of mine had bad luck on a elk with them.

They are very comparible to a Nosler Ballistic Tip. At closer ranges they will explode like a varmint bullet. If you are shooting at longer ranges (400+) and the velocity has come down quite a bit they will do O.K.. I would recommend a 140 grain Nosler Accubond for an all around G.P. bullet.
Seen MANY Elk taken with that bullet from 80 yards to 550 (using a 7mm Mag).
When your attack is going well you are about to be ambushed.
