I was keeping track of hits and misses with down spent cases for a hit and up for a miss.
Was only hitting about 50 percent, really not even trying to stretch the 204 out at all because of the wind. Then I couldn't really understand why I would score a hit and then have a miss by 2 ft at only 120 or so. Then it dawned on me just as I spotted a triple of pup's line up just like a set of Russian nesting dolls. The whole darn scope turned in the rings as I was trying to increase the scope magnification.
Luckily I was able to run back into Mandan and borrow my wife's uncle's 22-250. Finished out the day with a tad more recoil by nothing I was complaining about.
My Wind string is not Ironed out straight or starched.
Still had plenty of fun. It definitely beats sitting in the house listening to the wind slap the siding.
Plenty of pup's. Gotta love the pups!
