Ready to roll with new CZ

Post by Bodei »

So I sold my Savage M25 17 Hornet to a buddy who is more of a predator hunter. I didn't like the design of the magazine/chamber and it felt a little clunky. I cant complain about the accuracy of it, though. I took the money and put it towards a CZ 527V. I'm so glad I did. It's my first CZ and I'm really impressed with the quality and feel. Took her to the range and its definitely shooting 1/2 MOA or less. Impressive round for squeeks, really does a number on them. Of course you don't get the aerobatics of a 20 VT or .204R, but they sure as heck aren't crawling off either!

Congratulations on the new CZ Bodei!! Fine looking rig you got there!!

My Wife has the 527American in 221 FB & that rifle just plain old shoots too!! I've never heard nor read of CZ accuracy problems. The biggest complaint seems to be the magazine style. It works fine IMHO.

My CZ712 is a pure joy to shoot as well.

Very nice there, Bodei!

My CZ 527 American is in 221FB, and the thing shoots right alongside many HB rifles in the same caliber, always under 1/2".....amazing for a sporter weight barrel. It looks like yours is shooting just as well, which I'm sure the rats will not appreciate one bit!

Looking forward to seeing more field adventures with her this season. :D

Looks good.

My 2 are shooting factory rolled 20 V-max's not quite as good as yours.

What load have you been happy with? I need to reload some soon and would love to get mine shooting close to that good.

Thanks

12.0 gn of A1680 gets me near factory velocity and no signs of pressure. Shoots MOS - minute of squirrel, or better!
