Well between the late almost non-existant spring and jumping right into an above average year for rainfall across the state, I finally made it out to Mandan to slay some prairie dogs with the better half's Uncle. Man how I'd been waiting for this day. It's been just a crazy summer with kids activities and work. I'm posting this about a month late.
No badgers heard the dinner bell this time. Savage 204 vlp. Still shooting factory ammo for now. Sent 120 32 grain vmax down the tube and man I was not the best at playing the wind, which was blowing out of the sw at 15-18 with gusts 25-30 all freakin' day! We tried staying into or with the wind but late in the afternoon had to scan the whole perimeter to keep them all check. Only put 30 rounds through the AR. I dont know the 223 and a semi auto just wasn't doin' anything for me. The bolt was where it was at this go round (actually I'm pretty sure it was the 204 round itself)
