Got one down Saturday morning

Post by JBinMontana »

Well I settled in before daylight just in the treeline of the upper pasture. I put myself in an area to watch both the clear cut that runs the power poles, and the pasture itself. I used my Johnny Stewart Howler and then the Controled Predator Call.

Waited about 30 minutes for little miss blondie to make her presence, to find herself blessed with a 32 gr V Max gift from the .204 Ruger.

Sorry there is no picture of the female coyote but for some reason my camera batteries took a dive right when I needed them the most.

What I did get pictures of before hand was the area that I do some hunting in, here in the Flathead Valley of Montana.

She was a average size young blond of course, and I'm basing that on some recent pictures that I have seen of some dogs down by other hunters. I was just glad it was a female instead of a male :P .

The sticks are home made from when I used to shoot BPCR with the Sharps and Rolling Bock rifles in 45-70 and 45-90, and make for a good steady rest when shooting from a chair or from the ground.

Here is a pic of about the size she was. This pic is from Outdoorsman Adventures and one of their hunts.
