Okay, okay.....I've been remiss here. Seems as the entire world has posted pics of their pet 204's except me in this thread. So here's mine hard at work teaching Skippy how to jump. ;)

Image

This one was taken on an especially good day, shooting across the lake inlet at just under 600 yards to the rats that thought they were safe on the far side......NOT! This LR duty used to be the domain of my 220 Swift and .243 Ackley. The 204 gives amazing results way out there.

Image

(Rifle: Sako Model 75 Varmint, Stainless, Laminated, Fluted w/Sako Set Trigger, Custom Shop Leupold 6.5-20X LR w/VHR and M1 Elevation Turret, Sinclair Offset Scope Level and Hi-Score BR single shot follower)

The new 204, and after a trip into the squirrel patch, as been aptly named "The Silver Princess of Death" and for good reason.

Blueprinted M700 stainless action, Pac-Nor stainless Super Match 3-groove, 11 twist varmint contour barrel with 11 degree target crown and 204 Ruger tight match chamber, .230" neck. H-S Precision stock with aluminum bedding block, Jewell HVR trigger set around 5 ozs., Custom Shop Leupold VX-III 6.5-20X Long Range with M1 elevation and Varmint Hunter Reticle, Sinclair Offset Scope Level and Hi-Score BR single shot follower. This puppy shoots!

Ready to launch another 39gr SBK at Skippy way out there sitting on his mound:

Late addition is my Kimber 84M Varmint in 204R, intended as my "204 Walkabout Rifle", as the other two are primarily bench guns. She's pillar & glass bedded, the stainless fluted barrel is rated as a heavy sporter contour and is floated. Scope is a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14X 40mm Long Range (30mm tube)with M1 elevation and VH Reticle in Leupold low rings and mounts. I lucked out with a very nice stick of Claro walnut too.

Can a guy really have too many 204's? NOT!

I love the look of the AR`s,but unfortunatly in our green and pleasant land ,due to the silly laws, the only type you could get would be a straight pull  :wall:

Hi All, Just thought I would show off my little friend. Bought the Ruger .204 (KM77VT MKII Target Grey) with Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40. This is my first varmit rifle and so far I have only been to the range to start sighting in the scope. Shooting about 1/2 dollar size groups at 100 yards. I think a trigger job and alot more range time will help. Then I will get to see some PD's get the come-aparts. Take Care, Richard.
