Bartlein barrel, 1-11 twist, 26 inch. Jewell trigger 3-6 oz. A quality trued & blueprinted action, I like Remington 700. McMillan stock. The scope as suits your fancy. JD

As to the original question, I believe a custom build, bolt rifle would tend to be the most accurate way to go. And I do think it depends on how much money, and time you are willing to throw into your project. For some of us, we don't have unlimited funds for such an endeavor. For myself, personally, a manufactured rifle, with good accuracy potential, that I can work with, would be on my list. If I can get said rifle to shoot sub half in. MOS ( Minute of Skippy) I am a happy shooting enthusiast! Best of luck in whatever you decide :chin: . Keep us posted, and remember we all love "Gun Porn"

You know, the .204 Ruger has a lot of potential in the accuracy department. I wish everyone would signup for the Challenge. I would love to see what these rifles are really capable of. I amazed myself and my son one day a while back. Almost unbelievable group. I had such a nice group going I started shaking when it came time to pull the trigger the fifth time. I still have that target hanging over my bench. I don't believe it either. I never shoot that good in front of witnesses. Ever. So was my group a fluke or is it possible to repeat? I may never be able to duplicate the same conditions again.

I shoot the 204 in a T3 Varmint Stainless, and I've shot phenomenal groups, normally the rifle shoots in the 1/2 moa range but if I really take my time it's possible for me to do even better, this is one of my better groups, 5 shots at 100 yards, bone stock rifle 6-18x50 scope shot off bags. Also the group is with factory 32grain V-Max ammunition, I plan to start reloading for it this summer. http://i.imgur.com/uO8SB59.jpg
