204 Ruger throat

Post by Bill K »

Have thought about having my throat lengthened, as I did with a 7mm Rem Mag, on the 204R so I could seat the bullets out a little further, but I am presently seating them out further (as far the magazine well will allow) and they are working much better, so do not really feel I would gain anything, unless I loaded single shot, each time. What are your thoughts ? ( Rick-especially) Bill K :)

It's one of those cost/benefit issues, Bill. If you're getting the accuracy you want with the ammo you like, why change things? You're likely to lose something you already have by extending the throat.
