Big bullet drop

I'm not as savvy as some of these shooters are, but I just can't understand how it could be a scope issue if you use the same crosshair on the same target at 100 & 200 without touching the scope, focus or anything.
Not familiar with Savage's, but some scope mounts are dedicated for the front & rear, one is thicker than the other. Are you sure they are on correct? Are you using + moa mount? How high is your scope off the barrel? Sure it's not touching or even real close?
Sounds like the post above, sounds more like 300 yards.

My thinking is it could be a busted reticle. When my Nikon scope reticle blew out several years ago it acted in a similar fashion. Of course, a busted reticle can probably act in any possible manner, but nonetheless it would rule it out and if it's functioning properly one can get a true measure of the MOA of the clicks.
